Yesterday the number of hospitalizations in the United States for Covid-19 reached its highest point since the 22nd of August. New York specifically doubled its count from early September, and ten other states have reported record highs as well. Their count went above 900 for the first time since May.
The CDC is predicting up to 6,200 new cases daily over the next month. As of Tuesday evening, the United States had nearly 40,000 patients being treated for Covi19 in hospitals, over 8,000 of them being in intensive care. 37 states across the nation are reporting higher hospitalization rates. States reporting records on Tuesday included Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and Ohio, which had 1,221 patients.
Nevada, which recently was host to a presidential rally held by Donald Trump, reported a 9% positivity mark even though testing as a whole fell.
